Professor Syd doesn't like the almost total lack of food and water he has been consuming. So he is dehydrated and in my opinion malnourished. He has lost one kilo per day for too many days now. Down to 85kg. He started at 94. He is already making jokes about how he is lighter than me!

He has started to walk in a strange way, almost a horse stomp, bringing his knees up high and plonking his feet down, like he has no control over his foot muscles. He didn't tell me that last night he was trying to bring his toes upwards to point towards his head, nothing on the right side, he couldn't do it.

So Professor Syd is not letting him go home tonight, they have admitted him. He has a fluid drip and will be having a feeding tube inserted. Tests will be done to find out what is going on with his leg. I am not even going to think about neuropathy . . . . we were told this was a most unlikely side effect of his type of chemo, didn't make the top 10  . . .

This is a short one. The couch and tv are calling . . . . .

at the end of the day waiting for a bed . . . . .
